This is based on a TRUE STORY. Here's what you need to know about the people in this movie:
Mike is trying to keep his marriage with Danielle together but is having a tough time with his life.
Danielle isn't so optimistic about their marriage and she actively tries to get Mike to date other girls.
Joel is Danielle's best friend. He is a creep. Mike doesn't like how inappropriately close Danielle and Joel are.

I just watched the directors commentary for the first time, a little late, I know. Again, GREAT job everyone.. especially Bobby cause let's face it if Bobby wasn't our director and if he didn't put a piece of his heart into it, this movie would probably make no sense what so ever and it would just be a complete mess.
